CHANGES
OSA SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS
Effective October 1, 2002 any Expert dating to 1999 OSA
records who have not attained points
in any OSA sponsored Open Tournament may thereafter play
as an amateur in any future
OSA sponsored Tournaments, unless he/she advises the
OSA Board of Directors of his/her intention
to remain at the Expert level.
Amateurs must attain five (5) points in OSA
sponsored Tournaments before reaching
Expert status and points will be awarded as follows:

When Experts earn 35 points they will be eligble for induction into the Hall of Fame
if they meet other qualifications as listed in the OSA Rules
At the sole discretion of the OSA Board of Directors, Experts returning to Amateur status will
automatically revert to (3) three Amateur points and present Amateurs will retain their present
points towards the (5) five points necessary for Expert designation.
